Casino.De (VectorTrap) buying links
Casino.de are pushing hard to rank for casino terms in Google(DE) and are doing well – averaging around 5th-6th place for most casino related terms. Although it comes at a premium and a risk. The SEO company they’re using for link development, VectorTrap, are buying indiscriminately of quality (although taking care of relevancy) and paying a real premium for links.
What are VectorTrap doing right?
They’re buying on sites which are relevant to the terms they’re trying to rank for and the site they’re linking to, specifically casino and gambling related sites.
They’re having the links placed contextually which is far more natural than having them dumped in the sidebar or footer.
What are VectorTrap doing wrong?
They’re buying on sites which are already FULL of sold links. This immediately draws attention to their link building practices.
All the links they’re buying are on home pages. They’re not mixing it up by buying on internal pages.
If purchasing on a site/page that’s already stuffed full of links (especially with the same anchor texts) then they should at least make some attempt at having their link put above others.
They’re paying a premium for low quality links! From $450 – $900 per link, per 6 month period. Okay the chances are the webmaster will forget and won’t remove the links after the 6 months, but still, take a look at what they’re buying and tell me it’s worth that much.
The following terms are what they’re looking to rank for (inc. corresponding urls)
| Anchor Text | URL |
| casino | http://www.casino.de |
| casinos | http://www.casino.de |
| online casino | http://www.casino.de |

I’ve just been approached by VectorTrap, who are seeking to buy links on “behalf of a client in the theatre and entertainment industry”.
They do sound very dodgy, and their site is dodgy too. I wouldn’t touch this company with a bargepole.
