Main elevators

Service Elevator

There are 6 elevators operating within the building, one of which is a service elevator. Two elevators service floors 2-17 and the other two service floors x-y. If you wish, you can also take the stairs, starting at floor 6. The stairs only start at floor 6 for security purposes.

Parking

The parking area is reserved for those with pre-arranged spaces before 11am. Past 11am the parking is open to anyone.

Bathrooms

There’s a separate male and female bathroom on each business floor. Thankfully. the bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Regardless of the bathrooms being cleaned regularly, many of them still have a roach problem. The general maintenance of these areas, such as the tiling, plumbing and electrical items is generally poor. If something breaks then you can expect it to stay broken for a long time.

Smoking rules

The building has a strict anti-smoking policy but you will find cigarette butts in just about every stairwell and the bathrooms often smell of smoke. It’s a shame that employees don’t make the effort to leave the building to smoke. This is both a safety requirement and general good manners.. after all, who wants to leave the bathroom stinking of smoke because someone else was too lazy to go outside?

Office costs

A single office unit inside CyberOne will cost around 30-35,000 PHP a month. Some units have been combined to make large units, since CyberOne charge per ft, you can simply double these costs for each unit combined.

Unless you’re lucky enough to grab a unit which is already furnished, you should take into account the costs of outfitting the unit with a floor, walls, aircon and so on.

Construction of Global One Center

Eastwood city is regularly improving and expanding which means constant construction, whether it be new commercial towers or residential properties. With the completion of the new mall, they’re continuing to work on new towers which will no doubt be home to more business process outsourcing (BPO) companies and residents in condominum units.

The picture on the left shows the Le Grand 2 under construction which promises to to be the perfect residence for those that want a work-live-play lifestyle. Directly in front of Le Grand tower 2 is the Cybermall, to the side is a range of bars and restaurants. This tower truly will be in a great location for anything from business to pleasure.

The upkeep of this micro city is no small task. The grass is always well kept, the paving is regularly painted and each condominium tower ensures their entrance drive ways are always up to a high standard. However, some of the construction methods within Eastwood raise some interesting questions. For example, rather than painting the curbs and pathways every few months, why not just mix the color into the concrete in the first place. This would mean less up keep and would remove the issue of having slippery floors when it rains due to them being painted.

There’s a choice of 12 condominium towers within Eastwood City which offers variety of living and differing levels of costs. The rent you pay will depend on the building you decide to live in and how long you intend to stay. Generally you’ll get a much cheaper rate for taking a longer lease such as 6 months minimum.

Based on a minimum lease period of 6 months, for a fully furnished unit, you’ll be looking at about 20-25,000 PHP per month for a 1 bedroom unit and 30-40,000 PHP per month for a 2 bedroom unit.

With the launch of the Eastwood Mall, there are now many events held in that area such as free movie screenings in the open park on their large outdoors LED screen. However, most events in Eastwood City, such as live music, are still held in the central Plaza area.

Most events are sponsored by large companies or subsidised by Eastwood City (to draw in visitors). This means that you can attend most events without any charge. However there are some occasions when paid events are held, such as the Wolfgang live concert.

Safe

Eastwood City is a safe place to live, work and study. With security posts at both the entrance and exit of the city, check points throughout the city itself and regular patrols by Megaforce security, Anti Crime Force, Quezon City Police and K-9 dog units.
